How to build self-confidence in 8 steps

Self-confidence is a skill that every person should possess. If you do not have this skill, if you will always feel failure, you will feel that all things are the opposite of what you want.


 The importance of self-confidence stems from the fact that it gives the person courage, self-esteem, and firmness. 

When you have self-confidence, you are not afraid of risks and trying new things.

 Self-confidence is absolutely essential for a happy and successful life. It is a quality that makes one stand steadfast, ready, and ready for different life experiences without hesitation or vibration.

When you have self-confidence, you do not allow what people think and say about you affects you, and you do not take matters personally. This means that you have a more peaceful life.

Most people are not born with this slender quality. However, they can build self-confidence. They can build self-confidence by changing a person's mindset and attitude toward life, even if different personal experiences sometimes cause them to lose confidence.


How to build self-confidence in 8 steps

I would suggest a few simple tips to help you build your confidence.

1. Think about what you've accomplished in your life


Even if you have failed and unhappy experiences in your life, there are definitely some achievements. They may not be great accomplishments, but they are very simple things, such as getting good grades at school or college, a promotion at work, a good relationship with your neighbors, obtaining a driver’s license, or learning to swim.

Thinking about these accomplishments makes you realize that you have a lot of successful experiences in your life, and you are not a failure in everything. This would make you feel better about yourself and your life, and help improve your self-confidence.

2- Focus on what you did and achieved

Why fill your mind with failure scenarios? If you keep thinking about failure, you will expect and attract failure to you, and this will take away your sense of self-confidence.

 Replace negative thoughts in your mind with ideas for success. Imagine in your mind what you will actually be, and what life you really want.

If you can continue to nurture ideas of success in your mind, you will attract success. This will boost your self-confidence.


3- Writing a list containing your accomplishments and successes


Take another step towards building your self-confidence and write a list of your accomplishments and successes, and look at this list at various times. You might say that you have never had any success. You may be wrong about it. 


It may not be a great success, but it is definitely considered a success even if it is simple, you must have witnessed some kind of this success, such as baking a good cake, good relations with your husband, wife, or children, or going for a walk almost every day, such things are Kind of success.

4- Think about your talents and abilities


Set a time each day to reflect on your talents and abilities, and try to find appropriate ways to develop and use them. Do not say that you do not have any talents and skills; everyone has. You just need to find and develop this potential.


5- Enhance your willpower


Lack of self-confidence goes hand in hand with your weak will. If you strengthen your willpower, your self-confidence will also grow.

Strong will means more firmness, more self-esteem, and more confidence.


6- Set small and simple goals


Setting small and simple goals in your field that you are able to achieve. This greatly enhances your confidence.


 I am talking about really small goals, such as cleaning and arranging your wardrobe, inviting friends to your home, starting learning to swim, or taking a fun holiday. 

 These small businesses make you feel better about yourself and increase your self-confidence.

7- Development of positive behavior


Instead of focusing on negative events and anticipating the worst, do more to focus on positivity and anticipate positive outcomes. 


This may not be easy if you always have a negative mindset. However, while continuing, you can change your mental habits and build positive behavior. 

You will find a lot of information about positive thinking on this site. It will help you, if you seek to get rid of all negative words in your mind and vocabulary and refrain from using them in your conversations.

8- Give yourself motivational talks


Remove any negative comments in your mind. Be firm, and do not allow negative comments about you and your life to continue in your mind. 


You need to be more aware of what is going on in your mind and not allow all negative comments and negative internal conversations to continue in your mind.

These tips will help you build your confidence. In some cases, you may need more than these tips. Sometimes, if there is an acute lack of confidence, you may need to seek help, such as a counselor or psychiatrist, you may be helped to find a reason for lack of self-confidence and methods are provided to help you build confidence.


  •  Follow a healthy and balanced diet, and set meal times. 
  •  Reducing stress and stress levels.
